Jeffrey S. Deutschman opened his law firm in 1992 to focus on providing outstanding counsel and highly personalized, attentive and responsive legal services. Attorney Deutschman graduated from California Western Law School in 1988. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1988, as well as the District of Columbia and Northern District of Illinois in 1989. Before his law career, Jeffrey Deutschman received a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin in 1983, and a M.A. from Northwestern University in 1985.

Bradley Skafish has been practicing law, specifically in the realm of personal injury and civil litigation, since 2002. He is admitted to practice in Illinois (2002), the Northern District of Illinois (2002), Indiana (2004), the Northern District of Indiana (2004), the Southern District of Indiana (2004), the Southern District of Illinois (2012), and the Central District of Illinois (2014). Brad became a partner at Deutschman & Skafish in January 2019. He was admitted to the seventh circuit court of appeals in 2018. Brad is also a member of the Federal Trial Bar.
Prior to joining Deutschman & Skafish, Brad operated the Law Offices of Bradley A. Skafish from 2003-2007, focusing primarily on personal injury litigation. Brad has tried more than 50 jury trials. He received his law degree (J.D.) as well as a B.S. in Marketing from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, and remains an avid Indiana Hoosiers fan.
Brad is married with two daughters, and devotes much of his free time to attending his girls’ activities, including gymnastics and dance. Brad is also the author of the Bad Cats children’s book series. Additionally, Brad sings, writes music, and plays guitar for local rock band, the Figbeats.

Edward Rampson has been practicing law since November 1978, primarily in the area of personal injury and property damage litigation, and has represented both plaintiffs and defendants. He is licensed in the
State of Illinois and the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Before joining Deutschman & Skafish, Ed practiced in private and in-house litigation firms, and as a sole practitioner. He has tried over 75 jury cases.
Ed obtained his JD from John Marshall Law School and his BA from the University of Notre Dame.
Joseph W. Substalae has been a litigator since 1996. He has a wealth of experience in numerous areas of litigation including personal injury, insurance defense, insurance subrogation, commercial litigation, and criminal litigation. He has tried more than 50 trials to verdict including more than 25 before a jury. He was admitted to the Illinois Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1996.
Before joining Deutschman & Skafish, he worked at the Law Offices of Manual A. Cardenas and operated the Law Offices of Joseph W. Substalae focusing on general litigation in both places. Prior to that he was an insurance defense trial attorney for Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith and Chilton Yambert Porter & Young.
Joe received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1996. Prior to that, Joe received a B.S. in Psychology, with Minors in Political Science and Classic Civilizations, from Loyola University Chicago.
Joe spends much of his free time trying to keep up with his 5-year-old son.
Steve Krkljes is a 1988 graduate of lIT-Kent School of Law with an undergraduate degree received from University of Illinois in Criminal Justice. His legal career encompasses all aspects personal injury and property damage litigation with emphasis in catastrophic injuries and wrongful death from trucking collisions. Steve also has experience with cases involving medical and legal malpractice. He spent his initial legal experience representing insurance and corporate defendants. He later shifted his practice into representing individuals injured due to the negligence of persons and companies. He has participated in numerous jury trials and arbitrations.
Steve is a founding partner of Schiff, Gorman and Krkljes and Krkljes & Milosevic law firms. He was a sole practitioner from 2016 to 2023. He is past President of the Serbian Bar Association of America. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
He was born, raised and lives in Chicago enjoying his free time with his three adult children.
